Buchanan a good holiday trip for adventure

Now would be a good time to travel to Buchanan one night for a look at the decorations. Or, go spend the afternoon and stay for the evening. There are opps during the day for some Christmas shopping on Main Street as well as food choices along Main Street.

The Festival of Trees is located at Buchanan Library. The trees are decorating the windows of the storefront library. Buchanan Elementary students have prepped the trees making this an excellent community project. The display runs through January 1.

If you go on Thursday through Sunday catch a movie at the Buchanan Theatre. Thurs night It’s a Wonderful life. The rest of the weekend, Indivisible.  And coming soon, White Christmas

On second Sundays a  wonderful lunch is served for $10 at the Buchanan Community House.

Of course a highlight is the Buchanan Christmas Parade on the 8th.

The local churches have many events scheduled as well, so tune in!

The Main Street luminaria on Christmas Eve certainly makes Christmas a Silent Night spiritual scene.
