Scriptwriting Workshop comes to Attic Productions
Piper Gaul, award-winning scriptwriter, Attic Productions veteran, and Fincastle native, will be hosting a virtual free screenwriting workshop on Fridays in April, from 7-8PM.
Gaul lives in Brooklyn, NY. She has bachelor’s degrees in theatre and creative writing from Florida State University and a master’s degree in screenwriting from London Film School, and her scripts have received worldwide recognition in the thriller, comedy, and sci-fi genres.
Gual explained the workshop: “Interested in learning how to write a script? Have you ever thought, “I have a story that people would love to see on stage, but I don’t know where to start.” Now is the time to get those creative juices flowing! Whether you’re new to writing or a seasoned storyteller, come learn more about what makes a good script great. This free course will focus on the beats of a story, character and world building, and how to make your dialogue hit that much harder! We will also explore the key differences between writing for the stage and screen. The virtual nature of the course makes this the perfect way to get creative in a low-stakes environment!”
Participants are asked to fill out a short form before attending, to help determine the content of the workshops. The form can be found HERE.
The virtual class will be held HERE.
