Red Ribbon Week Award Winners announced

Red Ribbon Week awards and winners 2018. Botetourt Schools finished on top of three of the winning categories.

EYE CATCHING AWARD This school goes above and beyond with visual aids for Red Ribbon Week. Both inside and outside the school, the message of RRW is clear and visible. The messages are also apparent to their surrounding community. MAKING A DIFFERENCE AWARD This school exhibits the most passion for Red Ribbon Week, which is evident in their extraordinary level of participation and dedication to the cause of RRW. Clear themes and antidrug messages are displayed and shared throughout the school. OUTSIDE THE BOX AWARD The level of creativity of this school’s decorations and activities set them apart from the rest. The school conveys the Red Ribbon Week message in unique and refreshing ways. They “think outside the box” when celebrating the week. SHEDDING LIGHT AWARD This school exemplifies awareness of the true meaning of Red Ribbon Week. Students and faculty can all express the goal of RRW. This school endeavors to promote drug free messages with everyone they come into contact with. KATHY GRAHAM SULLIVAN SPIRIT OF RED RIBBON WEEK AWARD This school captures the essence of Red Ribbon Week with the resources available. They demonstrate hard work, tremendous effort and enthusiasm. This school may have limited resources but has lots of heart in implementing their RRW celebration. ALL ABOARD AWARD The collaborative efforts of this school exceed expectations. Students, parents, faculty, and community members are involved in the planning, fundraising, and implementation of the Red Ribbon Week messages and activities.
