Lentini’s gets new ownership but same menu and faces remain

Lentini’s in Daleville will be under new ownership Nov. 1, 2023. The family- owned restaurant has been in Botetourt since 1996 as Bella Pizza at Mountain View Plaza, then as Lentini’s across from Lord Botetourt. The good news is the Lentini menu and some of the family and employees will remain working there.

In 1995 the Lentini family left Italy and came to America. They were near Smith Lake in the beginning but opened Bella Pizza in 1996 in Troutville. Seven years ago, they sold Bella Pizza and opened Lentini’s carrying their same good food with them to the new location.

The Lentini’s have operated a true family business. Giacomo and Rosalba Lentini both worked in the eatery. Their three daughters were with them. Stefania, Rossella and Valeria Lentini grew up in the business and as they became older worked with their parents. They learned the business and the appreciation of hard work and family from their parents. The Lentini’s were very friendly and not only had great food, but inquired of their customers how they were and got to know them. They developed community relationships. They often sponsored Rec Club sports teams. Lentini’s became a frequent choice to cater business and social events with their delicious trays of Baked Ziti, salads, breads, pizza, desserts and more.

As role models for their daughters, they were exceptional both as loving parents but established work ethic, too. Stefania Lentini said, “They are the reason why I am such a people person. It’s from watching my parents and working in this business.” She will continue to work as a waitress part-time.

Rosalba Lentini, the family matriarch, developed health issues in recent years. The family decided it was time to make the change.  They began to look for a new owner. Nasim Faltas stepped up as that person. His family operates a Pizza place in the Roanoke Area. He stresses the menu will remain the same and the good food and service will continue. Giacomo Lentini, the family patriarch, and Marcello Di Benedetto the pizza maker, along with the kitchen staff, and Savannah Corvin a long-time waitress, will also continue to work at the restaurant.

The last day as Lentini owned is October 31,and on Nov. 1, Faltas and family take over. He stresses things will be much the same except for a few new faces among the familiar. Keep on coming for wonderful food and friendly service. Many thanks to the Lentini’s for their years of food service to our community and best wishes for a happy future!
