Bank of Botetourt Banker Graduates from Virginia Bankers Association Management Development Program

Chelsea West, Merchant Services Officer was among the 36 Virginia Bankers who graduated from the Virginia Bankers Association Management Development Program – the largest in person cohort to date. This program is a five-month, comprehensive training designed for those who have developed a passion for banking, want to enhance their knowledge of the business of banking, and who are motivated to excel in their careers.

“We are proud of Chelsea and her dedication to learn, expand her network and help the businesses in our communities,” said Laurie Hart, SVP – Chief Strategy & Retail Officer. The program’s sessions provided information to make participants more effective bankers, ensured that they understand the industry, instilled the notion that strategy and goals are imperative to drive the bank forward, and empowered them to present themselves as leaders.

Chelsea’s focus in her role at the Bank is assisting customers with payment options and business solutions through Clover® point-of-sale systems along with a variety of additional options. While Chelsea covers the Bank’s entire branch network from Fairfield to Salem and Smith Mountain Lake and surrounding areas, she is based out of the Cave Spring Office on Electric Road in Roanoke. Chelsea grew up in Roanoke and currently resides in Vinton with her husband Cody and stepchildren Camden, Riley, and Keenan.
