USDA hosts public conservation meeting April 14

This year, the meeting will be held right outside the USDA Service Center in Bonsack at 36 Executive Circle Roanoke, VA on Thursday April 14, 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. It will be out back by the loading dock.

Public NoticeThe Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), in compliance with the Agriculture Act of 2018, issues a public notice of a Local Working Group meeting to review natural resource priorities for Fiscal Year 2022. The meeting will be held from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, April 14th, 2022 at the Bonsack Service Center at 36 Executive Circle, Roanoke, VA. The program is open to all interested individuals and groups concerned with the conservation of natural resources and associated programs and provisions of the Agriculture Act of 2018 (Farm Bill). The meeting facilities are handicapped accessible. Reasonable accommodation requests, including sign language interpreters, should be made at least one week prior to the event date. NRCS programs are voluntary and therefore are most successful when targeting natural resource issues identified by the local community. The feedback received is utilized by NRCS State Office staff, Program Development Committee, and the State Technical Committee in the development of the Fiscal Year 2023 NRCS program offerings.
