Botetourt students did well on SOL tests in the 2020-21 pandemic year

Botetourt County students, teachers and parents can be proud of their efforts in the pandemic school year of 2020-21.

Dr. Jonathan Russ praised all involved. The SOL scores and rankings speak for themselves. The school division has a plans for a fall growth assessment to make sure students receive the necessary evaluation and do not fall behind in learning.

The meeting held at Lord Botetourt’ s auditorium drew speakers once again, a couple of whom made positive remarks. The new policy for speakers pre-registering at the school board meetings passed

It was mostly a night of business as that is what the school board is mandated to do by state code, carry on business for the school division and the good news of the SOL results truly a bonus for the Division at the meeting.

Michelle Austin, Buchanan representative continues her quest to get the message of how some of her constituents feel about CRT and other issues to State and Federal officials.
