New Medical facility and Bingo are coming to Botetourt

The Board of Supervisors approved a Special Exception Permit (SEP) for a medical facility at 1645 Roanoke Road in Daleville, and an SEP for bingo games at a fitness center located at the shopping center at the intersection of US 11 and Olde Route 604 when that governing body met on August 22, 2023. The Board met at the Botetourt County Administration Building at Greenfield in Amsterdam.

The medical care facility would be a psychiatric nurse practitioner’s office within an existing office building next to Digital Image. The space would be leased by Renew Psychiatric Services, PLLC. The practice will primarily focus on treating individuals with ADHD, depression, and anxiety.

The leased space would consist of a waiting room, one room for administration and two exam rooms. One patient would be seen at a time, and the applicant estimated that around eight to ten patients would visit the office each day. Total staff would be three people. No exterior site changes to the building or site were being proposed.

The applicant said that no drug rehabilitation would take place on the site.

The bingo games would be allowed at Team Wrestling Club dba Botetourt Training Center. The bingo games are expected to take place two nights a week. Funds would be used to keep the non-profit fitness club accessible to local youth.

The training center is located near the Dollar General Store in the old Winn-Dixie shopping center.
