BCPS announces 3 new employees at the two high schools

The Botetourt County School Board approved several personnel changes in the April 14 board
meeting.
Ms. April Easton is a graduate of Radford University where she completed both her
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. She served as assistant principal at Alleghany High
School from 2007 to 2016, was a 2015 finalist for Virginia’s Outstanding Secondary
School Assistant Principal of the year (VASSP), and has served as principal of Mountain
View Elementary School since 2016. She is excited to join the James River High School
faculty as the new Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year.
Mr. Aaron ‘Chase’ Davidson earned his Bachelor’s degree from Radford University and a
Master’s degree in Sport Management Administration from Liberty University. Coach
Davidson became the Athletic Director of Bath County High School in 2008, served as
the Assistant Athletic Director in Colonial Beach Public Schools from 2011 to 2013, and
as the Athletic Director for Bath County High School since 2019. He and his family are
excited to join the James River community and are looking forward to his new role as
Athletic Director.
Mr. Fulton earned his Bachelor’s degree from Milligan College and has been an educator
for 27 years. He has worked in Craig County, Roanoke County, and most recently in
Franklin County Public Schools. His collegiate playing experience coupled with 33 years
of coaching both football and outdoor track will serve him well as he begins leading the
Cavalier Athletic Department as the new Athletic Director.
