Bank of Botetourt Recognizes Bank Employee Who Earned CFP

Bank of Botetourt is pleased to recognize Fonda M. Coffey, who earned her designation as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Fonda has more than thirty-five years of financial experience accumulating a wealth of industry knowledge throughout her career. As a Financial Consultant, she meets with her clients to work towards their financial goals in numerous areas of banking, including routine deposits, and loans. Fonda also strategizes with clients regarding insurance, retirement goals, and estate planning. Fonda is based out of the Bank’s Lexington Office, and she will continue to have a presence at the Bank’s various locations. 

President and CEO, G. Lyn Hayth, III expresses his congratulations to Fonda for receiving this certification, “the skill set she has acquired, combined with her experience, will help her to better serve our customers and community. We are grateful to have her as part of our team.”

A lifelong resident of Buena Vista, Fonda is deeply rooted in the community. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Averett University and CFP certification through the College for Financial Planning. She is a member of the Buena Vista Junior Women’s Club and serves on the Board of the Paxton House Historical Society. She enjoys attending classic car shows, reading and spending time with her children, Chad and Chase, and her three grandchildren. Fonda and her husband Edward reside in Buena Vista.

Bank of Botetourt was chartered in 1899 and operates thirteen retail offices in Botetourt, Rockbridge, Roanoke, and Franklin counties and the City of Salem, all in Virginia. Bank of Botetourt also operates a mortgage division, Virginia Mountain Mortgage.
