BOTETOURT COUNTY LANDFILL CLOSING FOR COMMERCIAL BULK WASTE AND CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS STARTING JULY 7

The new Cloverdale Trash Transfer Station owned by Green for Life Environmental (GFL) that will be located on Lee Highway, will have a delayed opening of approximately 60 days with a slated opening of early Fall 2021.

What does this mean for you?

Residential Customers – NO CHANGE IN SERVICE. Your refuse will still be collected at
your home by your service provider, or you can still visit the Botetourt County Convenience
Center located at 259 Landfill Rd., Troutville, VA.

Contractors & Commercial Customers/Haulers – effective July 7, 2021,
construction debris or commercial bulk loads will not be accepted at the Botetourt County
Landfill/Convenience Center located at 259 Landfill Rd., Troutville, VA. You may take your
loads to the RVRA Salem Transfer Station located at 1271 Indiana St., Salem, VA 24153 until
the new facility is up and operational.
