Featured Artist Bullock at Lackey Art Studio and Gallery reception June 20th

Meet the Artist Keith Lynn Bullock

Daleville, VA: An in-person “Meet the Artist” reception will be held this Sunday, June 20 th , 2021
from 2 pm until 5 pm at Lackey Studio and Art Gallery located in the Century 21 Wampler
Building (on the hill behind Bellacinos). Light refreshments will be served.

Keith Lynn Bullock became interested in art and creativity at an early age and began taking
private watercolor lessons from a local artist around the age of eight. She continued with art
classes through high school and went to college to major in art.

After her second year, she decided to transfer to Virginia Tech and major in Interior Design. The volume of drafting
required for this major helped greatly with her drawing skills, particularly perspective.
After receiving her degree, Keith Lynn explored a variety of creative endeavors including
acrylics and photography but ultimately was drawn back to watercolors. She was intrigued by
their luminosity and challenged by their unpredictability. Painting with watercolor is a lifelong
learning process and she continues to take classes with local as well as nationally known artists.

Keith Lynn continues to enjoy photography, especially taking pictures of architecture and market
scenes during her international travels, but it is secondary to her painting. Her camera is now
part of her creative process, used to compose a scene she visualizes as a future painting. She is
looking forward to upcoming travels to once again be able to paint plein air and take photos
while traveling in Europe.
