LOA supports Covid19 CheckUp program

Local Office on Aging is joining the Virginia Association for Area Agencies on Aging and the nationwide effort to spread the word about the recently launched, nationwide, confidential and free online tool, CV19 CheckUp that can help our clients and their families reassess their own risks—and the risks they pose to others—from COVID-19. In addition to personalized risk assessment reports based on real-time community spread data, the free service also encourages best practices among community members.

CV19 CheckUp is an online system developed to help everyone be safer, healthier, and ensure their individual needs are met during the pandemic. CV19 CheckUp asks users to complete an easy, quick, confidential questionnaire. A personalized report is immediately provided, outlining the user’s level of risk and offering recommendations and resources to reduce those risks. CV19 CheckUp employs artificial intelligence and data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We are excited to partner with CV19 CheckUp and help spread the word about this powerful tool. Take it yourself: CV19CheckUp.org
