Drug Take Back Day is Oct. 24 in Daleville and Buchanan

It’s October so it means look in your medicine cabinet and dispose of unwanted and unused drugs. Drug Take Back Day on October 24th from 10am – 2pm. Two locations in Botetourt area at Daleville Kroger and Ransome’s Drug Store in Buchanan will accept the drugs. Please observe VDH and CDC Covid-19 guidelines. A number of local groups including The Botetourt Sheriff’s Dept. RAYSAC, Blue Ridge Behavioral Health Care are sponsoring the annual event.

Bring your unused prescription and over the counter medicines for the event at the two Botetourt locations. They will be safely collected and disposed of by the DEA. This display flyer in part, is from Alleghany County and comes from The Roanoke City-Alleghany Health District.

Here are some confirmed area locations include: 

  • Clifton Forge: Kroger/CVS 
  • Covington: WalMart  
  • Daleville: Kroger
  • Buchanan: Ransone’s Drug Store
  • Salem: Supershoes, across from WalMart
