Lunch Box Talk is a kindness campaign

Help Spread Kindness Summer Lunch Box Campaign

Botetourt does have sites and Wheatland Lutheran distributes Feeding America Food

The Suicide Prevention Council of Roanoke Valley (SPCRV) and Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare (BRBH) would like to announce the kick off to our Spreading Kindness Card Campaign. We want to share positive messages to our youth in the Roanoke Valley by placing cards in lunches provided by Feeding America Southwest VA.

In these trying times, we can all use encouragement. Let’s support our youth and let them know they are not alone. This kind of support improves our mental health and counters general stress by building resilience, increasing positive coping skills, and utilizing social supports.

We are asking the public to create short, simple messages for our youth with colorful images, stickers, and lettering. Show off that creativity and help us reach our goal of 1,000 cards by July 21, 2020. For more information and guidelines, please contact Sheila Lythgoe at slythgoe@brbh.org or 540-982-1427.
