Road closures due to flooding. From Sheriff’s Dept
Here are some current road closures in Botetourt due to flooding. Rain amounts will continue to build. Various parts of Botetourt County have had more than 6 inches of rain in the past two days with the NWS calling for an additional 1-3 inches. They NWS has also issued a Flash Flood Warning for Botetourt County through early morning May 22.
Currently closed roads are:
Intersection of Slippery Ford and Craigs Creek Rd
3600 Block of Little Catawba Creek Rd
5000 Block of Craigs Creek Rd
Landfill Rd and Catawba Road
2000 Block of Little Catawb Creek Rd
300 Block of Tinker Mill Rd
1300 Block of Poor Farm Road
100 Block of Rainbow Forest Rd atree is down and removal has begun
Sheriff Matt Ward said, “Seek alternate routes in flood prone areas. Do not try to cross flooded roads.”
