BCHA meeting is Tuesday night at Bellacino’s

BCHA meets Tuesday night

Greetings to BCHA and Horse Community Members!

The BCHA board would like to invite you to our first social of 2020.

We will meet at Bellacino’s in Daleville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4.

Buy  your supper from Bellacino’s and have dessert on BCHA.

Our meeting will be an update on the events of our year.

  1. Our First Event of this year is a fundraising Paint Night in March in conjunction with a Virginia Horse Council Project to get halter and lead ropes in the hands of all Animal Control Officers in the state.  Information and signup sheets for our Paint Night with local artist and retired art teacher, Dorothy Barnett will be available. Copy of the paint night picture and fee per participant will be available Tuesday night.

There will also be a potato bar that evening for all participants.

  • Membership forms will be available for our renewing and beginning club members.
  • We need to vote on one of our bylaws. The bylaws currently state that BCHA board is required to have twelve monthly meetings. For the past three – five years that format has not worked. The board would like for the article to be more flexible as to the amount of the general meetings each year. Certainly, we can have twelve meetings, but we want to amend the article to be more flexible.
  • Great news on our Tack Sale!  It will be on Saturday, April 25 at the Botetourt Community Center on Route 11 next to the Botetourt Funeral Home. Much more room for vendors. Great parking and unloading. Easy access just off I 81. A wonderful concession stand.

Vendor forms will be available Tuesday night to sign up now. Those spots go quickly!

We will have all sorts of great door prizes.

Be on hand to participate!!
