Altec Employees that saved the life of co-worker, honored at Board of Supervisors meeting

Altec Employees were the first reponders when their co-worker Cory in the green shirt, had a heart issue.

Jason Ferguson, Fire Chief and head of EMS presented a Heart Saver Hero Award to Altec Employees on a shift in the Daleville plant who performed life saving measures on a co-worker found on the floor.

The presentation took place at the November Board of Suprvisors meeting.

Recognized for their lifesaving skills were employees: Steven LaFon, Robert Carico , Chelsea Doss and Michelle King. Altec trains its employees in lifesaving. The American Heart Association also sent a letter of congratulations and thanks.

Chief Ferguson said, “Had it not been for their training this situation may have had an entirely different outcome.”
