Fincastle Festival gears up for Saturday event!

HISTORIC FINCASTLE FESTIVAL

 September 21, 2019

By popular demand, the Historic Fincastle Festival is returning this year on Saturday, September 21st.  The Festival will be held throughout Fincastle from 9:00AM until 4:00PM with artists, crafters, a quilt show, antique vehicles, a “touch a truck” section, a children’s activity area, food, and music galore! The history of Fincastle will also be on display. Visitors will be able to visit the Court House to view original documents from the late 1700’s forward.  Items signed by Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, James Madison, James Monroe, and William Preston are just some of what can be viewed. HFI will also offer tours of Historic Fincastle for interested folks.  A special treat will be the return of the Revolutionary War Interpreters who will have their encampment at Wysong Park.

This year, however, the fun does not stop at 4:00PM….it just moves to a different venue – the grounds of the Fincastle Fire and Rescue Dept. from 4:00PM until 9:00PM.  The party begins with music from “7 Mile Ford”, compliments of Big Lick Entertainment.  BBQ chicken meals will be prepared by the Fincastle Fire and Rescue folks, and beer, and other beverages will be available as well. Truly an evening not to be missed!

So, plan on making it a full day, from morning until night, in Fincastle, VA on Saturday, September 21st!!

Sponsors of the Festival include the major sponsor, The Bank of Fincastle, and other sponsors: APX, MW Dunbar Construction, Freedom First Credit Union, Heritage Family Market, LUMOS, MKB Realtors, Oakey’s, Snap-On, and Woodsdale Events.  “Fired UP” is sponsored by the Bank of Botetourt, with other sponsors: Cardinal Rubber, Bryant Orchards, Prestige Lawn and Landscape, and Re/Max.
