New Freedom Farm received help in the on going quest for a Veteran’s building to meet in on site. A different type of help arrived on Saturday August 24. Team Rubicon.

Team Rubicon’s mission is providing disaster relief to those affected by natural disasters, be they domestic or international. By pairing the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders, medical professionals, and technology solutions, Team Rubicon aims to provide the greatest service and impact possible.

On Saturday in Buchanan they made an impact to help Veterans with PTSD and other conditions.  The farm uses horses to help Veterans cope. Meetings have been held in the barn breezeway and in cold weather it is not a heated space within itself. Now they are one step clloser to a nice meeting area for the attendees.

Lois Fritz the Executive Director of New Freedom Farm said, “Team Rubicon assited with demolishing of an agricultural building floor for the next step in completing the building for veterans.  They worked with veterans and Gold Star Parents– all working together.”
