Addy Grace All-Abilities playground ribbon cutting on May 4

The children turned out for the opening of TheAddy Grace Foundation playground on Saturday. The ribbon cutting celebrated the fundraising efforts of many in the community and business arena. The namesake, Addy Grace Gardner has Spinal Muscuar Atrophy and uses a wheelchair. Her parents worked diligently to make the play ground a reality.

This special playground will allow children in wheelchairs to participate in a fun playground atmosphere. All children can enjoy the playground which is open to the public and located in front of the Botetourt YMCA.

Truly this wonderful playground is a huge assest to Botetourt County, but better yet to thousands of children of all abilities who will play together in the brightly colored equipment.

We have three videos on The Botetourt Bee Facebook of the openeing activities and playground with happy children. “Like” us!
