Bank of Botetourt Announces Promotions

Bank of Botetourt is pleased to announce the following promotions:

·         Tammy Talbott – Vice President, Loan Officer & Portfolio Manager

·         Amie A. Chernault – Assistant Vice President, Market Manager

·         Robin H. Moore – Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager

·         Stephanie N. McCoy – Assistant Vice President, Loan Operations Officer

·         Marcus T. Wade – Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager

·         Sheila W. Feltis – Retail Officer and Human Resources Assistant

·         Annette B. Lane – Accounting Officer & Executive Assistant, Recording Secretary of the Board of Directors

·         Marla H. Rock – Collections Officer

·         Jerrica Seay – Deposit Operations Officer

Tammy S. Talbott has been promoted toVice President, Loan Officer & Portfolio Manager and is located in the Bank’s Troutville Office. Tammy has been in the banking industry for almost 30 years. Before serving Bank of Botetourt, Talbott worked at the Bank of Rockbridge as a loan officer, handling consumer and commercial loans. She graduated from Bridgewater College in 1987 and the Virginia Bankers Association (VBA) School of Bank Management in 2006. Tammy is active in the community, working with Habitat for Humanity, Hospice and Relay for Life. She lives in the Natural Bridge area with her husband Jamie.

Amie A. Chernault has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Market Manager of the Bank’s Cave Spring Office. Chernault brings over thirty years of experience in the banking industry. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Business Administration, a concentration in Finance and minors in Economics and Psychology. She serves as the Vice President of the Brambleton Area Business Association. Amie also serves as Treasurer on the Board of the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce and Executive Board. Chernault was born in Rochester, New York and moved to the Salem area where she attended Andrew Lewis and Salem high schools. A resident of the Cave Spring area, Amie enjoys spending her free time with her friends, family and two sons Robby and Timmy.

Robin H. Moore has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager at the Bank’s Fairfield Office. She has been in the banking industry for almost forty years, over fifteen of which have been with Bank of Botetourt. Moore is active with the Rockbridge Area Hospice and is also a member of Lauderdale ARP Church. Robin is a native of Rockbridge County and currently resides in Buena Vista.

Stephanie N. McCoy has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Loan Operations Officer at the Bank’s Buchanan Care Center Office. She has worked in the banking industry for more than eighteen years having previously worked with SunTrust Bank. McCoy an active board member and Secretary of the Puzzled Group that helps to fundraise for the Regional and Local Rivermont Education Centers which are associated with Autism Awareness. Stephanie resides in Rockbridge County with her husband Scott.

Marcus T. Wade has been promoted toAssistant Vice President, Branch Manager at the Bank’s Salem Office. Marcus has been in banking for over fourteen years, all of which have been with Bank of Botetourt. He previously worked in sales and in retail as a shift supervisor. Marcus attended Bluefield College where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and Development. He is active in his community, serving as a board member and secretary for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Additionally, Marcus is on the boards for Star City Recreation Club and the Virginia Warriors Basketball Club. He is also the Chair for the VBA Central/Southwest VA Emerging Bank Leaders. Marcus resides in Roanoke and has two children Kennady and Kaiden.    

Sheila W. Feltis has been promoted to Retail Officer and Human Resources Assistant at the Troutville Office. Feltis has over thirty years in the industry and joined Bank of Botetourt from Central Fidelity Bank where she was a Compliance Officer. Prior to that, she was Branch Manager at One Valley Bank in the Buchanan area. Sheila resides in Daleville with her husband John and their daughters, Madison and Cassie.

Annette B. Lane has been promoted to Accounting Officer & Executive Assistant as well as Recording Secretary of the Board of Directors at the Bank’s Troutville Office. Lane began working at Bank of Botetourt in 2012 and was previously in accounting at Norfolk Southern for ten years. She is a graduate of Berry College in Rome, GA where she earned a BS degree in Accounting. Annette is a member and co-financial secretary at Fincastle United Methodist Church. She is a native of Waycross, GA and resides in Daleville with her husband Jim. 

Marla H. Rock has been promoted to Collections Officer at the Bank’s Troutville Loan Services Center. Marla began her career with Bank of Botetourt in September of 2013 after serving as Collections Officer for OPNLaw. Rock is a lifelong native of Botetourt County and currently resides in Troutville with her husband Garry.

Jerrica Seay has been promoted toDeposit Operations Officer at the Bank’s Buchanan Care Center Office. Seay began working for Bank of Botetourt after finishing her BS in Business Sustainability at Mary Baldwin College. She was born in Lexington, VA and has been with the bank for over seven years. Jerrica will be overseeing Deposit Operations, Electronic Banking and Card Services. She resides in Glasgow, VA with her husband Adam.

Bank of Botetourt was chartered in 1899 and currently operates twelve retail offices in the Botetourt, Rockbridge, Roanoke, and Franklin counties and the City of Salem, all in Virginia, and operates a mortgage division, Virginia Mountain Mortgage along with a financial services division, Botetourt Wealth Management.
