LBHS’s Emerson has art in national exhibit

Emerson’s Ceramic Sculpture is exquisite.

Natalie Emerson, Lord Botetourt High School junior, has been selected to be a part of this year’s National Art Honor Society’s Juried Exhibition of artwork in Alexandria, Virginia. Natalie’s ceramic vessel, “Mourning Blues” was selected as one of the 63 artworks, from 40 schools, included in the show. Her work was chosen from among 980 submissions submitted from across the nation.

This exhibition showcases the work of talented student artists who are member of the National Art Education Association’s National Art Honor Society program. Submissions were juried digitally by representatives of eight member schools of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design. Juror selections were guided by scoring in 5 categories – Visual Communication, Execution, Formal Elements, Originality and Artist Statement. Natalie’s work will be on display at the NAEA Studio and Gallery from January 28th until April 12th.
