Sunflower Festival is Sept 1-2 and Sept 8-9

Out on Wheatland Rd final preparations are being made for the Sunflower Festival coming the next two weekends Sept 1-2 and Sept 8-9. Beaver Dam Farm, a local dairy farm, will host the annual festival.

Agritourism is big business for the dairy farm. Last year 10,000 visitors paid $5 each to see the 21 acres of flowers and partake in the numerous activities including children’s activities and vendors for food and other items.

Candace Monahan who organizes the sunflower festival said, “We will chop the corn in order to park the cars. On Wed. Aug 29, we will have goat yoga in the sunflower field and also one night we plan to hold a paint night.”
