The wedding of Q and U at Troutville Elementary
Kindergarten teachers, Amanda Rowe and Marybeth Rush, of Troutville Elementary planned a fun celebration for their students that promotes their literacy instruction based on the science of reading. The kindergarten students participated in a wedding on November 1st where the letters Q and U were joined together in matrimony.
The wedding party consisted of Scarlett Osborne, Lincoln Hutchinson, Audrey Lovell, and Margaret-Anne Hatcher. Their classmates and teachers joined together to witness the wedding ceremony officiated by Principal Steven Anderson, opened “qu” gifts, and had a fancy wedding reception complete with cake and juice. These students are likely to remember this fun day for many years to come! Congratulations to the newlyweds Q and U!
