Key Clubs from LBHS and JRHS unite to provide community K Bags
This year the local Key Clubs from both Botetourt County High Schools have partnered together to complete several service projects in the community. During the month of March, the Botetourt Key Club of LBHS purchased items and packed 128 Spring Break Goody Bags for kids in Botetourt County. The bags were filled with healthy snacks, toys for outside play, art and school supplies, and new toothbrushes. The LBHS Key Club was one of two schools in Virginia to receive a grant from Key Club International. This grant funded the “K Bags” which were distributed by students from LBHS and JRHS, to the Botetourt Food Pantry, Solomon’s Mission and the Orchard Hills Achievement Center the week before Spring Break.
