Remember Friday 11/18 is a heavy travel day on I-81 as College students head home for Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving holiday is upon us and on Friday, Nov. 18 the big traffic flow from area Colleges and Universities will be filling I-81 in particular. It will add thousands of drivers on the highway through Botetourt. The weekend after will have a scheduled football game at VA Tech and the return trip back to school on Sunday for college students noth and south on 81.
The Botetourt Bee figures with over 32 miles of the interstate running through the county, a friendly reminder to residents here is not out of order. Be safe. Choose wisely.
Be aware when you choose getting on 81 if there might be accidents and backups. Watch the VDOT Digital signs and listen to local radio stations. Be sure to consult Social media ahead of your trip!
