Covid Tests available through Public Library system

1. Boosters | Now everyone over 18+ is eligible for their boosters, regardless of employment, age, etc. If you’re planning on attending any holiday celebrations, or have any additional COVID risk factors, please get a booster.

2. Vaccinations for Kids | The Community Vaccine Clinic has rolled out their mobile unit to bring vaccines to students in Botetourt Schools! Hats off to the schools for helping organize this effort. We also just held a very successful clinic at the Botetourt YMCA with our first doses for kids; 15 kids got their first shot!
3. Local Clinics | If you still need a booster (or 1st or 2nd shot!) or your young-one is eligible for their shot, we will be back at the Botetourt YMCA on 12/10 from 4 – 6pm.  Please share widely and encourage folks to get vaccinated before their holiday plans.
4. Education | And for a little shameless self promotion, our COVID 19 Panel @ Fincastle Baptist went very well! (Check out the video and news coverage) We covered the local situation with cases and vaccines, and emphasized the importance of keeping our holiday activities scaled down and taking a few extra precautions while enjoying the season.

5. Testing | Roanoke, Roanoke County and Botetourt County libraries have at-home tests! This is another source to support pharmacies and drive thru testing resources.  These tests are aimed at folks who don’t have access to testing in rural and/or under-resourced areas, and those without insurance. *It does require some technology and a photo idea – see flyer for details*If you’re planning to attend holiday events, getting tested ahead of time adds another layer of protection, even if you’re vaccinated.  [flyer & IG info attached – feel free to share]
