BoCo e3 Initiative announced

Botetourt County Announces e3 Initiative & Opportunities to Give Back

Date: November 16, 2021  (Botetourt County, VA) – Botetourt County is known for its friendly neighbors as well as being a great place to live, work and play. During the month of November, we have been focusing on gratitude and sharing stories of our employees and community members that work tirelessly to serve our community. Many of them are your neighbors, friends, or relatives.

Botetourt County has a culture of kindness, and we want our employees and residents to know that we care. We also recognize that the last year has been hard…. really hard. Hard on our community, on our families and on our staff. Many of us have been working hard to balance work and home life, be a caregiver, a teacher to our kids or grandkids, stay safe and healthy all while still providing exemplary service to our citizens.

To honor our employees and our community, Botetourt County is launching a new initiative called e3.

e3 stands for:

·        Encourage

·        Empower

·        Energize

The e3 Team is made up of Botetourt County staff that will be exploring ways to encourage Botetourt County employees while empowering them to find their full potential. Initiatives will also take place to energize their minds and bodies.

e3 will also be focusing on gratitude and exploring ways to give back to the community that we serve. Our first opportunity to give back to our community is easy! We will be setting out donation boxes for food/personal items at our libraries and at the Greenfield Administration Center that will be sent to St. Mark’s Botetourt Food Pantry and Buchanan Presbyterian Church. We will also be collecting toys and restaurant gift cards for Toys 4 Bot-E-Tots. Donations will be collected through Friday, December 10th. Donations can be made by Botetourt County Employees as well as our community members that visit our facilities.

We are #BOCOGrateful for each of our Botetourt County employees and we want to let them know that they are important and valued. Happy Holidays!
