Bank of Botetourt announces banking graduates

Bank of Botetourt is proud to announce that Dustin G. Bays, First Vice President-Chief Accounting Officer, earned his MBA from Union College. Dustin is based at the Bank’s Troutville Office and has over sixteen years in the banking industry. He was previously with Elliott Davis, LLC where he was a Senior Accountant. Bays has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Emory & Henry College. He also graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in June of 2018. Dustin currently serves as the Treasurer for the Kiwanis Club of Botetourt. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, attending community events and volunteering at his church. Dustin grew up in Gate City, Virginia and resides in Botetourt County with his daughter, Annabelle.

Ginny M. Hicks, Deposit Operations Officer/Head of Retail Support, has earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Leadership from Liberty University. Ginny has been with the Bank for ten years and works from the Bank’s Customer Care Center in the Town of Buchanan.  Prior to joining the Bank, she was a pharmacy technician for eighteen years. Ginny works closely with the retail staff in regard to operating systems and daily functions. She is a member of the Botetourt Character Counts! Leadership Council and enjoys volunteering, reading and spending time outside. Ginny was born in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, raised in Botetourt County and graduated from James River High School. She resides in the Eagle Rock area with her husband Jeff and their son Dylan.

President and CEO, G. Lyn Hayth, III expresses his congratulations to both Dustin and Ginny, “We are delighted with the investment they’ve made in themselves. They each managed to carry on and complete their coursework throughout the ups and downs of the past year and we couldn’t be prouder.”

Bank of Botetourt was chartered in 1899 and operates thirteen retail offices in Botetourt, Rockbridge, Roanoke, and Franklin counties and the City of Salem, all in Virginia. Bank of Botetourt also operates a mortgage division, Virginia Mountain Mortgage and a financial services division, Botetourt Wealth Management.
