Central Academy Middle School host Parry McCluer Middle School Wednesday night in their final home game of the season. Central Academy’s Lady Patriots improve to 5-1 with their win last night. The girls took an early lead in the first and defeated the Lady Blues, 53-7. Caitlin Canada led the Lady Patriots scoring 15 points, followed by Meredith Griffin with 10 points.
Eight grade players honored at the start of the game were Caroline Hanna, 26; Caitlin Canada, 30; Meredith Griffin, 34; and Cloey Joynes, 36.
The Central Academy boys basketball team trailed by one point at the end of the first half and came out strong to take the lead during the third period. The Patriots battled to stay on top and took the win against the Blues, 35:32.
Eight grade players honored last night were Hunter Mays (2), Logan Joyce (4), Jared Monaghan (8), Griffen Lucas (10), Caleb West (12), Zach Rhodes (18), Koleman Harvey (22), Hutch Hollingsworth (24), Grayson Dudley (30), and Aiden Meade (34).
