Last Tuesday, January 19, was senior night for the James River Knights Wrestling team. The Knights recognized five of their senior teammates – Adam Coleman, Nathan Ferris, Addison McCaleb, Austin Miller, Chase Powell, and Mason Stewart. Adam Coleman plans to attend VMI and major in mechanical engineering, Nathan Ferris plans to attend trade school and major in information technology or cybersecurity, Addison McCaleb will be wrestling for Roanoke College and majoring in biology, Austin Miller plans to attend Mary Baldwin and is undecided on his major, Chase Powell plans to attend VMI and major in biology and Mason Stewart plans to attend either Roanoke College or VMI and wrestle while majoring in criminal justice or cybersecurity.
After recognitions, the Knights hosted Carroll County and Stuarts Draft High Schools defeating both teams.
This Thursday the Knights will travel to Pulaski to take on the Cougars and the Radford Bobcats.
