Board of Supervisors meeting is Tuesday Oct. 27 at Greenfield

Board of Supervisors meet at 2 p.m. on Tuesday

The agenda packet for the October 27, 2020, Botetourt County Board of Supervisors meeting has been posted to the County website (www.botetourtva.gov, under “Your Government,” “Board of Supervisors”).

Those who do not wish to attend in person may listen to the meeting and/or speak during the citizen comment time or one of the public hearings by calling 1-540-300-9110 and enter the code 875778#. An automated operator will answer the call and provide direction for commenting during the meeting. Comments will be limited to three minutes. The line will be open beginning at 1:55 p.m. the afternoon of the meeting. This option is only available during the course of the meeting.  
Those who wish to submit comments in writing may do so via the online form at http://www.boco.community.

In person attendance includes social distancing and per recent CDC updates masks are recommended indoors.

A few highlights from the docket include: Presentations to John Williamson, Blue Rridge Fire and Rescue, The Planning Dept .

Notably there will be discussion on Meals and Lodging taxes. { Covid-19 has had a big impact on this revenue source, but a large impact economically on local eateries and hotels and motels.)

Updates on Ellis Run, a staff Apex Energy’s Rocky Forge Wind Energy project, VDOT Monthly reports and Committe updates on Monuments and Memorials, CARES Act, and Broadband. Updates on moving county offices to Greenfield and the courthouse project study.
