Letter from Buchanan Elementary to parents about Covid-19 Case
Botetourt County has a confirmed case of Covid-19 in either a staff member or student at Buchanan Elementary School just at the end of the first week of school.
The letter was sent out to parents on Friday, August 28 at 5:52 p.m. However, parents made the contact with The Botetourt Bee.
School Board chairman Michelle Crook said this a template that all school divisions will use when we noted it was the exact same as the Roanoke County letter as we mentioned on our first Facebook post.
Numerous comments on our Facebook post called attention to the fact not all parents received the email. since the time of this post, the school has placed the letter on their website.
The school division did not make this announcement. Concerned parents did.
It is the duty of a free press to keep the citizens informed so after confirming this, we posted this first on our social media and for posterity here.
Transparency is of utmost importance so those who were exposed are notified and those who are around people at home and in the public that are at risk may be informed as well.
