Former resident Lt. Scott Morris, MD USN, on way to NYC to help

Lt. Scott Morris, MD USN, is an LBHS grad who is on his way to NYC to help fight Covid -19. His parents Mike and Chris Morris of Botetourt can be proud of their son’s accomplishments in becoming a doctor, but even more so for serving his country in the US Navy and during this pandemic.

Morris is a diagnostic radiologist on the USNS Comfort. The Comfort sailed out of Norfolk on Saturday and steamed toward New York the nation’s epicenter for the virus.

On Saturday Morris said goodbye to his wife and daughter and parents in Norfolk.

He is just arriving on the hospital ship Comfort into NY harbor this morning of March 30.
