Blue Ridge Library has 250th Anniversary exhibit
In observance of the 250th Anniversary of Botetourt County, the Blue Ridge Library is presenting a display of historic photographs and artifacts related to Blue Ridge History. See a promotional brochure from the Blue Ridge Springs Hotel and read articles about the murder of its proprietress.
Read about local inventors who contributed to the booming Botetourt tomato-canning industry. Photos of a one room school called “Possum Trot” with eight female students, as well as other schools predating Colonial. The first “Blue Ridge” Post Office.
The display is available through January 31, 2020, but the library has a number of books revealing the amazing local history of the Southern portion of the County.
