VaSCL student leadership participants present to School Board
The Student government leaders from both Lord Botetourt and James River attended the Conference in Charlottesville on Nov. 14. they presented a power point at the Dec. School Board meeting.
The title of this year’s VaSLC focus was ” What School Could Be” and Ted Dintersmith a noted educator, and author of a book by the same name, was the key note speaker. The students met in teams with other student leaders from around the state and exchanged ideas to come up with new views of what school could be.
The bring back? The two high school’s leaders want to have a conversation about expanding leadership trainning into the elementary and middle school as well. Superintendent Dr. Lisa Chen was on board.
Building leaders now will benefit tomorrow.
