Grant ho;mes new executive director at Botetourt Chamber of Commerce

FINCASTLE—The Botetourt Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Grant Holmes as its Executive Director. Grant was chosen after a search of local candidates. Grant’s history includes extensive experience with business start-ups, ongoing operations and profitability, as well as marketing and brand positioning.

Originally from Ohio, Grant moved to the Roanoke Valley specifically due to his love of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains and found a great local ballroom dance community. Grant’s hobbies include dancing, riding his motorcycle in the mountains, and building lamps from repurposed materials. Grant has two sons both currently deployed in the U.S. Army. While in Ohio, Grant was actively involved with multiple chambers and often led workshops and seminars.

He intends to continue this practice with the Botetourt Chamber. “With area growth exploding, this is a great time for the Chamber to capitalize on the business opportunities throughout Botetourt” said Holmes. “There is an excitement that you can feel. I look forward to working with various county agencies and area businesses to help wherever the chamber can assist.” The board is pleased to have Grant on board and looks forward to his leadership.

Please join us to meet him at the Annual Meeting of the Membership on Thursday, June 27, from 5:30 to 7 PM at Ballast Point in the Sculpin Room. The event is sponsored by Virginia Tech Roanoke Center and Botetourt County. Registration is $20 for members, $30 for non-members and includes one drink ticket and appetizers.
