Lessons and Carols tonight

The event begins at 7 p.m. at the corner of Roanoke St and  Herndon St. in Fincastle.

Due to bad weather many events were cancelled on Sunday Dec. 9. Tonight you have a chance to enjoy ” Lessons and Carols at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service celebrating the birth of Jesus . The story begins with the fall of man, Messianic prophecy, and the birth of Jesus. The story is told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, through the prophecies  and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir music.
