Event to raise funds for Fanconi Anemia cure at Blue Ridge Vineyard on Oct. 20

A Willie Nelson tribute will provide music and for only $5 admission, help a great cause at Blue Ridge Vineyard in Eagle Rock. Crystal Eubank of Buchanan says “Hoping we have a huge crowd to come out and support the Fanconi Anemia event on Oct. 20. Olivia is from Buchanan and Mason is from Vinton. Both have the same rare genetic disease, Fanconi Anemia.”
Olivia is 10 and was diagnosed at age 3, had a bone marrow transplant at age 4. (Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, CCH)to spare her life. She has not been cured. There is no cure. She continues to face complications daily. She’s at a 700x risk more than the average human of certain head and neck cancers as well as cancers on other regions on her body. Life expectancy is early adulthood. She’s fragile in sunlight as skin cancer is a huge threat.
James Eubank said, “We must find a cure soon. Mason has not been transplanted yet, but sees doctors at CCH also. Please come out and help us raise money to support finding a cure. Admission and gate tickets sold on site.”
Cornhole tournament fee is paid on site. Free games and prizes for kids. Silent auction items include collectors item from Snap On Tool, custom painting from a local artist, special project from local welding class, and extra special items from the band ” Old Dominion” and many more.
Hope to see many of you there. Let’s come together and find a cure for Fanconi Anemia.
