Eldor and Altec bring new jobs in Botetourt

Eldor Corporation has finished construction of its facility at Botetourt Center of Greenfield and has obtained its certificate of occupancy, according to Ken McFayden, Director of Economic Development for Botetourt County.

The company specializes in research, development and production of ignition systems, electronic control units and systems for hybrid and electric vehicles.

A grand opening is scheduled for the second week of October.

Fifty people have already been hired to work at the new facility.

Additionally, McFayden reported that Altec, Inc., also located in Greenfield, has completed their hiring of 180 jobs as required by its performance agreement. provider of products and services to the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, lights and signs, and contractor markets.
