Approximately 100 Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational Foundation scholarship students recently attended an orientation session on the Clifton Forge campus. They are among the 125 students who are receiving a scholarship for the upcoming academic year, valued collectively at $290,000. Established in 1980, the DSLCC Educational Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that exists solely to support and promote DSLCC. The Educational Foundation’s primary focus is to keep education affordable through the awarding of student scholarships and to provide students the support they need to achieve their goals. The Educational Foundation has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to more than 1,300 students since its inception. The scholarship application for the 2019-2020 academic year will open on December 3rd at dslcc.edu/scholarships.
