Museum offers Charms featuring the Botetourt County Courthouse
Preservation Botetourt, Inc. has been active in the preservation and security of the artifacts that shed light into the life of those who occupied the property of Colonel William Preston and Greenfield Plantation. PBI’s has been displaying some these artifacts to help educate school aged children and others on life as it was in Botetourt during the 1770s. Some of the artifacts have been used during school trips to Greenfield, displayed at the Historical Museum of Western Virginia and most recently at the Fincastle Festival. In order to continue the work, PBI has created a charm of the Court House for a fundraiser. The charms are 3/4” zinc spin cast with jump ring, domestic, lead free, 2-D design, antique brass and antique silver. They are $15.00 and can be purchased at the Botetourt County Historical Society & Museum at 26 E Main Street, Fincastle.
