Covid -19 shots for children info

Pediatric approval for Pfizer and vaccine availability in the area.

1. A smaller dose of Pfizer is approved for children 5 – 11 years old. It is a 2-dose series, like the adult version, 21 to 42 days apart. CDC Press Release And I’ve attached a press release from Dr Morrow.
2. Where do I get it?! All of the pediatric doses are currently being split between the Community Vaccine Clinic @ Valley View, local pharmacies, and some pediatricians. No other VDH clinics will have pediatric doses for the time being. Once the initial wave of uptake is over, we will reassess to meet community needs and create more targeted clinics, as we’ve done for adults. Let me know if you have suggestions or ideas on how to meet any needs you’re seeing!
I’ve attached some FAQs for the kids’ approval, along with an updated Community Vaccine Clinic flyer. We’re at Salem YMCA tonight for a large clinic. Tomorrow you can find us at Lakeview McDonalds doing 2nd doses, and Eureka Park in the evening with education. Saturday, Mt Zion AME Church is hosting it’s 6th clinic!
