Eagle Rock Library hours to change due to lack of staff

Botetourt County Library Announces Change in Operating Hours

Date: October 13, 2021  (Botetourt County, VA) – Due to staffing shortages at our Botetourt County Libraries, current operating hours will change at some of our branches.

Starting November 1, 2021, the Eagle Rock Library branch located at 55 Eagles Nest Dr, Eagle Rock, VA 24085,  will be closed on Saturdays until vacancies are filled.

Additional reductions in days/hours may be necessary at other branches depending on staffing. We are hopeful that current open positions will be filled quickly so that we can return to our normal business hours. Thank you for your patience during this time as we regroup to continue providing the best customer service experience for our patrons while caring for our staff.

Why do you close on Saturday when people are off work and can go to or take the children you should be closed on a day in the week which ever suits the people working there or close half days in the mornings when its less likely you will have customers or if you have enough staff just cut the hours each day to maybe half days most likely the evening hours not trying to tell you what to do but giving you my thoughts most people are trying to work in the daytime ask your patrons see what they say I live in the south end of the county and have to use the Roanoke County libraries so it will not affect me
