The Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce held Annual Meeting of the Membership
FINCASTLE — On Tuesday, June 8, 2021, the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Meeting of the Membership at The Preserve at Crooked Run located in Fincastle, Virginia. Members and their guests were invited to attend this networking event to celebrate the rebranding of the Chamber and to welcome Khari Ryder, the new Executive Director. The Meeting of the Membership is held yearly to recognize the outgoing Board members for their service. Recognition awards were presented to Tiphanie Rasnick, Tim Bradshaw, Dr. John Rainone, and Amy White for their years of service on the Board.
Mr. Ryder noted that “The energy and the momentum I saw last night was something I would like to see continue at our future Chamber events. The resounding word of last night was ‘Community’. I saw community happening in the networking, sharing, laughing, and bonding that our attendees did throughout the evening.” Executive Director Ryder believes this kind of energy will help the Chamber continue to be the hub of the business community and to build a stronger Botetourt community.
President Winter-Pierce was also recognized for his service as Board President. He will remain on the Board when a new President takes over on July 1. Board Member Keith Hartman was recognized for his interim appointment as Executive Director to the Chamber. Notable guest speakers were Amy White, Board of Supervisors and Lynsey Allie, Executive Director of the Botetourt Historic Society. Vision Partners, Bank of Botetourt, Lawrence Companies, and Carilion Clinic were recognized for their support of the Chamber. Guests enjoyed the breath-taking natural surroundings of The Preserve at Crooked Run, with delicious appetizers served by Sunnybrook catering. Virginia Mountain Vineyards hosted the wine menu for the guests.
