Local Government

Letter from Amy Stinnett White for Buchanan Supervisor

To the residents of Buchanan, and Botetourt County. Thank you for the opportunity to campaign for the Republican nomination for the Buchanan Seat on the Botetourt County Board of Supervisors. I have enjoyed meeting and talking with you about your concerns, your gratitude and your hopes for our future. At a time when there is so much conflict, fright and separation, I was encouraged to hear many of you talk about what we can do together to improve Buchanan. I thank you all for sharing your time and thoughts with me.
As I promised early in this campaign, if I am elected to fill this seat, I will concentrate on local issues that will benefit the citizens of Buchanan and Botetourt County as a whole. My priorities are supporting our agriculture community, promoting programs that support positive youth development, continuing to expand broadband and encouraging small business development, especially in Buchanan.
As Thomas Jefferson said, “We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate.” The Firehouse Primary is this Saturday, May 1st at Buchanan Elementary School from 9 – 12pm. All registered voters of the Buchanan Magisterial District are eligible to vote. Please exercise your right to vote – we are lucky to have that right.
I am seeking this seat solely because of my love for and commitment to this area. Nothing more, nothing less. My professional and personal life have repeatedly demonstrated this commitment. When you go to vote, I hope you will cast your vote for me, Amy Stinnett White. Thank you again for this opportunity and for your support.
