Open Studios Botetourt 10th Anniversary is ready to roll out works of Art Oct. 24 and 25!

Studios-Botetourt 10th Anniversary Tour is October 24 and 25

Open Studios – Botetourt, Art in the Country, will open its doors for the 10th Anniversary Tour on Saturday, Oct 24 from 10 AM – 5 PM and on Sunday, October 25 from 11 AM – 5 PM. There will also be an option this year for private tours on Thursday and Friday (Oct. 22 and Oct. 23) by appointment with the artists.

Various locations around Botetourt County will feature 13 artists in 9 locations. There is a diverse and exciting group of artists participating this year with the return of some of the favorite artists, the introduction of new artists and the addition of a new coppersmith shop. The list of OSB artists includes Ed Bordett, Vera Dickerson, Amy D. Herzel, Dan Jones, Brett LaGue, Judith F Lochbrunner, Willie Simmons and Mark Woodie. Guest artists are Courtney Cronin, Dan Henderson, Mary Anne Meador, Elliott Muncey, and Robin Poteet.

This free, self guided driving Tour, of working artists’ studios and homes, is a chance to discover and collect finished works directly from the artists themselves. Plus visitors will see works in progress and learn about the tools and techniques used to create them. Enjoy the fall foliage and views while driving from location to location throughout the county.

At each location on the Tour, visitors can get a passport card to fill out.  All passport cards will be entered into a drawing for a $150 gift certificate towards an art purchase from any single tour artist.

Please note that safety is of primary importance this year and we are taking precautions and following all guidelines to keep our visitors and artists safe.   Visitors are requested to wear a mask.  Additional safety information will be posted on the OSB Facebook page the week of the event.
