Noah Bowen of Troop 333 has achieved Eagle Scout
Noah Bowen of Troop 333 in Fincastle had his Eagle Court of Honor September 12th. Noah actually received his Eagle rank on February 25th, but due to Covid had not been able to have his Court of Honor.
Noah’s Eagle project was designing and directing the building of a flag retirement box that sits at the entrance of the VFW Post 1841 in Daleville. He also hosted a flag retirement ceremony where they retired 52 flags. During his career in scouting Noah amassed 36 merit badges, 102 nights of camping, 49 service hours, 44 miles of hiking and 37 miles of cycling. He held the ranks of Troop Guide, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. He was able to attend the National Jamboree in 2017 with the Occoneechee Council. Noah finished his Boy Scout career with Troop 333 but previously was a member of Troop 141 in Rolesville, North Carolina. Noah is a Senior at Lord Botetourt High School and son to Troy and Susan Bowen of Cloverdale.
