Pie Shoppe in Fincastle sets Grand Opening for August 22

The Pie Shoppe in Fincastle will hold a Grand Opening on Saturday, August 22 from 10:30 AM til 3:30 PM. Located in the old Fincastle Pharmacy, the Pie Shoppe is at the corner of Main Street and Roanoke Street across from the Court House. 16 S Roanoke Street. Pie bites to the first 100 customers!

The space was featured on Black Dog Salvage’s cable show back in July. The renovation is stunning from hand crafted tables and milk can lights that hangover the counter, to the wood and brick on the walls. The wood came from the Murray Cider Barn on Cloverdale Road.

Ginny Barkett the proprietor of The Pie Shoppe said, ” The handiwork of Rob Rigatti transformed this space.” Indeed from the floors to the walls, the use of beautiful country rustic throughout the Pie Shoppe reinforces the notion that scrumptious savory chicken pies and sweet dessert pies are held within. “The space adjoins the Fincastle Cafe and the menus can intermingle through the shared kitchen,” Barkett noted. Her son Will Barkett is an able-bodied Chef who over sees the food process. A true Win-Win scenario.(There is more to come when the roof top bar also opens later this month.)

A wonderful array of retail gifts of country decor are for sale along the wall in the Pie Shoppe as well. Chickens are sprinkled throughout a section of candles, wall signs, table signs, cool rain gauges on garden implements, and the cutest farm-themed paper plates!

The Pie Shoppe will be open Monday thru Fri 10- 5:30 and Sat. 10- 2:30.

You can call-in an order for a ready-to- eat baked pie by 1 p.m. and get it for pick-up after 3 p.m. A $3 service fee will be charged for this service. Dinner awaits when you walk in your home!
